I am.. but this is one of the rare dreadful things, that my fascination is not purely in her dreadfulness. I think she's a legitimate artist, like a performance artist or cultural artist more than a musician ( whom I do give high marks for, for actually having song writing ability). There's more going on with her than just dreadful, is my point. I can see how a curmudgeon like pike wouldn't like her. He didn't even want me to mod gare.

When you ironically appreciate things the way I do, occasionally it can go wrong, and you get confused how much of your like is ironic and how much is 1st level. it's a pitfall of the trade, ole boy.

I hate admitting it, and it's possible my speed reading of the above means I've missed numerous points and contexts or subcontexts, but both Lady Gaga and Madonna and Kylie are all similar in that - unlike say someone like Pink - there is stuff going on there that is [ugh] serious talent of some kind.

I heard an interview with Lady Gaga years ago before I'd ever heard of her or knew how ugly she was...and her OBVIOUS intelligence simply could not be masked [and I believe she was trying to mask it, and trying very hard...]
