--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been attending mass for around one month. I have previously been Protestant and my 2 and 4 year olds are used to a nursery setting during church. I left mass tonight in literally in tears due to my children's behavior. My 2 yo is highly active and her behavior went from standing and jumping on the pew to standing on the kneeler and completing leaning over the pew in front of house with her feet in the air. I had purchased several coloring books at the Catholic book store in my area and had taken crayons thinking this would occupy her. She poured out the crayons and they went rolling every where. A lady from another section got up during the Mass and picked up a crayon and handed to me. She said, "I did not want this to ruin the carpet." Shortly after that my 2 yo tried to take a small toy zebra from my 4 yo. She grabbed it back from her and my 2 yo hit my 4 yo in the head. They both started screaming. I am 43 yo and have children from ages 22 to 2 so I am an experienced parent. I do discipline my children.

The parish I am attending does not have any type of nursery, classes or cry room. They have chairs in the foyer area of the church for "parents with babies". I went to this area when the children started screaming. You could only hear portions of what was being said. As I am very new to Catholicism I have a huge thirst to learn everything that I can. I was extremely pleased to be able to go to mass today and had been looking forward to it all day. My children's behavior completely ruined the experience for me as well as the others around me. I am feeling so upset and highly discouraged. Has anyone else been in this situation? I need encouragement and suggestions.

Only not flunking this one because I like the cut of your gib and think the F would demoralize your efforts to be a solid poster.

but it deserved an F for sure.

if we're gonna talk about mass in a 408 forum it better be about getting slim, trim, buff, cut, rippled, chizzled, and jacked
