I was very disappointed with season 2. I thought season 1 was just going to be a set up, and WW1 was going to blow the series appart with it's nihilistic destruction. But it was more of the status quo.

I watched five minutes of episode one and turned it off. The squandering of the fortune in an investment they never reference in previous seasons, as a way of manufacturing drama in this season, happening in the first five minutes of the episode just tilts me beyond words. Sorry Downton, but YER OUT!
