I am watching the Star Wars films in the machete order, still debating if I want to sell out and go see The Force Awakens, and honestly, after making it through episode III, Revenge of the Sith is pretty solid.

This is the first time I've watched any of the prequel trilogy since like 2007, and it really is a decent movie that flows well.

The first two of these are fucking awful, as everyone already knows, Episode I to the point that it is rightfully not even included in the machete order, but even my girl who has never watched any of the movies nor followed the discussions surrounding them had the unbiased opinion that though the acting is still horrible for the most part in Revenge of the Sith, it is so far the most easy to follow and least confusing of them of all and was actually really entertaining. I can't say that I disagree.

Look, I hate the prequel trilogy as much as the next guy due to the selling out and lack of story, but I am of the opinion that Natalie Portman really brought the entire thing down almost single-handedly with her fucking horrible acting. --- Hayden Christensen is hard to even tolerate, but it's really just the terrible out of place and overly dramatic scenes and interactions with her that make his acting go from really bad to that level of pure shite that disgusted everyone. He was way too young in Episode II and in way over his head.



On a side note, seriously, Natalie Portman is just not a good actress. All she has done is made a career out of the cliche Hong Kong acting style of women in dramatic roles that almost all Westerners I guess are just not familiar with (think every interchangeable actress in a Wong Kar Wai film for an example and you will see what I mean).

No, I'm actually a big fan. That's just a product of the limited talent the guy had to work with. The scene at the end of Days of Being Wild that introduces the Chow character is a personal all time favorite of mine. Just in general Tony Leung is goat.

What in the hell are you talking about? I have personally never known anyone that had anything positive to say about the prequel trilogy. The general consensus seems to be just to pretend that it never happened. In the machete order, we had watched Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Attack of the Clones up to that point and even in comparison to the two goat originals, it does flow surprisingly well.

Rofl at reading reviews for those movies. I remember people buying the hype and gloating about how The Phantom Menace was the greatest thing pretty much ever when it came out only for reality to set in eventually for everyone, even for the retarded, koolaid drinking general public, and the entire world to conclude that the movie is literally fucking unwatchable. If it is praised among critics, I honestly had no idea. I have been pissed about George Lucas selling out to the dark side for 16 years and now he even did so to the actual closest living incarnate of such in Disney, so I probably have mentally blocked out anything positive. I don't remember Revenge of the Sith being this good back in the day either.

I never said that it was the best, just that it probably shouldn't be written off and that my girl who's opinion isn't corrupted on this matter by outside influences said that it was the most watchable after seeing both Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back. Your problem is that you are overvaluing how much anyone outside of a rottentomatoes nerd would give a fuck about anything to do with rottentomatoes. I have literally never heard a single person say anything good about the new trilogy, I think even on the internet. People write the entire thing off, so yeah it is an unpopular opinion to consider Episode III good.
