Tough, but fair. Like giving Scorsese the award for The Departed and not Casino or Goodfellas, which were both better movies.

i'm not going to deny the fact that the only reason black panther is nominated for best picture is because it's an all black cast/production.

i only disagree with you saying that the movie was pandering. tbh, i'm not sure what you meant. if you mean that it was only made cause it was an all black cast, that's just lol. that's not how studios think. they only care about money. making a black-centered movie is usually terrible for studios which is why they don't make them.

they took a big risk on this, which obv paid off huge.

i don't want to make it seem like it was a bad movie. it was solid. i just prefer a touch more comedy
