Patagonia ::: by Mark Keelan
http://www.photoburst.net/photo_sect...s/fsmahhv4.jpgPatagonia ::: by Mark Keelan ::: After spending the whole day hiking in terrible weather (rain, snow, fog) and not taking one decent shot, we arrived back at our hostel to be greeted to this view. It really made up for a miserable day.

http://www.photoburst.net/photo_sect...s/1xgu7s7f.jpgBlack Stone Waterfall ::: by Gerry Pacher ::: Skaftafell is one of the two National Parks in Iceland and its major attraction is the black stone waterfall Svartifoss. The black basalt columns are the ones after which the church in Reykjavik is modeled. This amazing waterfall is definitely a trip to Iceland worth ;-) Enjoy the basalt stones ;-) Some technical information: Canon 1ds Mark III; Sigma 120-300mm 2.8 (at 120mm); ISO 100; f 32; 1.3 sec; only polfilter; developed in Lightroom. Regards, Gerry

The Beautiful Game ::: by Maciej Tomczak
http://www.photoburst.net/photo_sect...s/x3vowfgf.jpgThe Beautiful Game ::: by Maciej Tomczak ::: The image was taken in Burma (Myanmar), at Amarapura (not far from the U Bein bridge), some 11 km from Mandalay, in a Mandalay division. Picture taken in March 2005. The people on the picture are monks and novices from the Maha Gandhayon Monastery. I was just walking by. I was actually invited to play with them, but had a sprained knee and just sat there for a few hours. The novices are typically in their teens and either prepare for spending the life in the monastery, or just go there for a short period of time as a rite of passage (or sometimes to either receive schooling or spent vacation there). I suspect they like soccer... Soccer is really big in SE Asia - it doesn't require expensive equipment and it's probably a nice break from either the monastery or the politics.

http://www.photoburst.net/photo_sect...s/42p6p24n.jpgMasai Child of Mfereji Village ::: by Jo Ashbridge ::: Living with a remote tribe near the Rift Valley I wanted to capture the strength, endurance and often solitary existence of the Masai. The child, central to the photograph, contrasts with the vastness of the landscape and highlights the vivid colours of Africa.
