During this period of time, I travelled to different parts of Uganda on the weekends, and found myself in the middle of a small community on the banks of the Nile in Jinja. Life seemed hard, but they were happy. The dirty river water was used by the people to carry out their daily chores, and not surprisingly the children were frolicking in the water. They were quick to notice the camera on my hand, and struck poses hoping I would snap a little moment of their daily lives. I merely gave them what they wanted.

I was on my way to a temple nearby, when I felt like I was being followed. I turned quickly to find these three lovely young girls mocking me and my camera. I had one chance to capture them in the spontaneous moment of play. That playful moment is being played out each and every minute by children around the world. Doesnât that speak volumes to all of us. It should. Peace to all.

But this picture was taken on one of the last days and it was super hot outside as my team went through one of the small villages to try and invite people to our performances that evening; All of a sudden in the middle of this scorching heat it just started pouring, and everyone was running for cover, I saw these little girls and was lucky enough to have my camera with me so I could take a picture of them as they ran away.
