About Christopher: Born in 1979 in riverside California, Christopher studied art, design, and film at UCLA and graduated in 2003. There, he absorbed the acute attention to color and form associated with Vasa Mihich’s sculpture and paintings, subsequently refining his own visual and conceptual vocabulary that emerged through his focus on large-scale allegorical paintings which Utilize the female form and the emotional afflictions of posture and stance, Cuseo,s paintings reflect personal memories he has had to address during the realization of his artistic process. His cinematic style creates a strong sense of familiarity allowing the viewer to embark on their own personal journey, evoking those raw emotions that inevitably get buried with memories of the past. Christopher’s work can be found in public and private art collections both in the United States and abroad.. CNN's 'The Sissy Boy Experiment', No Stranger To Black Community

In the special report, Cooper examines the life of Kirk Murphy, a suicide victim tormented by childhood psychological and physical abuse. Murphy's parents, in hopes of discarding Kirk's feminine behavior, took the then 5-year old to a UCLA psychologist in hopes that he would someday live "a normal life." Murphy would later be subjected to unrelenting abuse from his father, and ultimately take his own life. Share Tweet As horrendous as Murphy's story is, the Black community, too, is no stranger to its own "Sissy Boy Experiment." African Americans have historically and statistically exhibited disproportionately negative attitudes toward homosexuality. We've all seen and heard it before. Young Black males are pressured to live a life void of any and all things effeminate. I can count the instances where I heard the "sissy" moniker spewed to debase young boys who weren't manly or tough enough. That rhetoric is more harmful than any physical abuse could ever do. Sophie Ann Candi says: Sophie was found at my great aunt's house after a tragic car accident left my aunt in the hospital. Little Sophie was discovered after a few days when the family went to my aunt's house. Sophie was the only kitten still alive from her litter, and my mom gave her to me to try and save. She was so tiny and sick! But this little girl has so much spirit, it didn't take her long and she was bouncing around like a healthy little kitten. She loves her big "brother" Silas and snuggling with the dogs.
