About Matt:

Matt Barnes is a London-based photographer whose subjects are primarily non-human. He aims to invokes William Everdell’s idea that ‘we call “modern” everything that happened to any other culture after it had built its first railroad.’

Cold Stations is a series of gas stations captured at their most deserted. His prints are Digital C-type, made on light sensitive professional photographic paper using a finely balanced red, green and blue light source.

Barnes applies minimal post production to his photographs, when he applies any at all. Apart digital photography his favorite medium is polaroid film.

Meet Luna Belle, a beautiful and feisty French Bulldog puppy. Though Luna can be a handful with her split personality, we still love her with all our hearts. Luna loves her belly rubs, showing off how smart she is, squirming around, playing at the dog park, and wrestling/beating up her older Frenchie brother, Roscoe. She will spend hours tussling with her brother over their favorite toy. Being half his size, she always seems to get the upper hand and take him down. Luna has bought so much joy to us and has enriched our lives. Her affection, playfulness and personality make up for all those puppy things she does. At the end of the day when she has settled down and is on our laps curled up next to her brother, we can't help but think how lucky we are to have such a great little puppy!

Peggy was found at a playground and handed over to our vet’s office. I was there for another reason, and the vet introduced me to little Peggles. Here she is “behind bars” awaiting adoption. My husband couldn’t resist her, and so we added her as the 4th cat in our two-human household.

She was born with a pathetic little half-leg in back, which kept getting infected and eventually had to be removed. But once she had her op, she recovered wonderfully, grew like a weed, and now is the best athlete in the house! Even with only one back leg, she can run and jump and pounce surprisingly well, and every morning she steals food from the other cats. Little savage! But when she calms down at night, she is a sweet little love bug. She has grown into a great beauty with a long tail and a gorgeous face. Daddy’s little princess, for sure.
