Elmo and STS-135 Commander Chris Ferguson
The crew of STS-135, NASA's final space shuttle mission, and Sesame Street's Elmo welcomed visitors to "What's Your Favorite Space?" in New York City. The free, public event was presented by NASA and Eventi on Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the hotel's "Big Screen Plaza." The outdoor plaza was transformed into a miniature space outpost filled with displays including an inflatable Mars Rover, demonstrations, interactive exhibits, video segments, children's activities and more. Koko Claire says: This is Missus Koko Miaowii, a very cute and kooky kitten. She was adopted at nearly four months old but is a tiny wee thing as she was orphaned and brilliantly hand reared at the Cats Protection shelter in Belfast with her brothers and sister. She is Koko by name and kooky by nature, and she is forever making us laugh at her antics. She is very eco-friendly in her ways as she loves to up-cycle anything that rustles into her favourite toy for the day. She's also a girlie-girl as bags and shoes always catch her attention. We've only had her for just over a month but she is very much part of the family and we look forward to our early morning wake up call when she miaows at our bedroom door so she can come in for a cuddle.
