lol @ my friends in Atlantis
3 of my friends have had their waterfront properties rezoned Aquatic, more to come. hahah
The funniest thing is 2 of those weren't even kms from the waterfront. snicker They're taking it well but then again shock will do that to you. I'm assisting their mood by cracking topical jokes. I'm sure they appreciate it, even though they're not in a position to show their gratitude with Facebook Likes and whatnot. My Aunt's suburb in Rosalie heheh http://i.imgur.com/FcZ79.png My mate's fiancée's house is the white roof in front of the red roofed place. Thank heavens for the council road sign warnings.... http://i.imgur.com/WPQ4v.jpg Flood waters expected to go to 5.5m tomorrow so the fun is beginning (currently at 3.5m now). so long Brisbane. rip |
Are you fucking faggots serious?
The city I grew up in is going under water, 50,000 properties noosed, and yall have better threads to contribute in? I don't know why I bother. Fucking waste of a good flood. |
dunno what else to say except "wow. that water's high. Must suck. "
So.. Wow. That water's high! Must suck. |
sorry scooter, but this seems awfully third-worldish, and we americans generally can't relate to this.
|
except for new orleans residents
|
and by third world, i mean anything non-american
|
:thumbsup
|
i can relate bro
|
There are crocodiles and huge river / sea snakes swimming through the CBD of city of 3 million people.
A bull shark swimming down the main road of Ispwich (western suburb). Looters on high-powered speedboats. The Queensland Water Police appear unwilling (or incapable) of pouncing on their moment and declaring the former city of Brisbane to be their sovereign nation-state of an archipelago or isthmus of some kind (political system and official name / flag tba). The bad news is that the water is going down now. All good things must indeed come to an end. Better to have loved and lost... |
I'm telling my friends to keep their chin up.
They're lashing out. Pain will do that to a person. It's sad, really. |
do they have insurance or is this a total loss?

I'm too frightened to ask though, I imagine most will be covered by some kinds of inbuilt partial stuff tied in with their home loans or whatnot. Is it obvious how little I care? I should probably get on that...trauma can really drive a wedge between couples, and a couple's wives are worth a putt. I'll need to be there for them, of course. A sympathetic ear. No candle in the wind over here yall, I'm a lighthouse. Rock in troubled waters etc. Yup |
my basement has been flooded for the past 3 years big deal
|
