Why would I be concerned about the hard drive? I've disposed of something like 50 internal and external hard drives and another 50 SSDs since they came out. It's funny, perhaps there's something I'm missing, but I was under the vague impression INTEL invented SSDs? I was buying INTEL SSDs for a few months when I noticed every hard drive manufacturer in the world was producing SSDs.

I thought, "But surely the proprietary..."

And then I laughed, because INTEL owns everything and everyone. Own = Control = Can Dictate To (all the same thing). INTEL gives lots of things away. They're so charitable. Like the way they gave EFI to the UEFI Forum.

I'd be happy to give you one of the 21 or 22 computers I've bought since March 2011 but they're in hotel rooms around Bangkok (two are in Hong Kong, one in an Australian hotel room, a couple in Singapore but most have just been thrown into the garbage). I don't dispose of my electronics responsibly but I plead mitigating circumstances. I'm usually too fucking horrified to function. The ones in the hotel rooms merely had BIOS errors (merely, hahah) flashing moments after being powered on for the first time in their history. I imagine they've likely been disposed of or sequestered for a maid's personal use.

HP Bangkok on Rama IV have one of my Pavilions but I'm never going back there. I suppose you could pick it up my passport or something but you should probably read this story before you bothered flying to Bangkok for a machine that - last I saw / heard of it - wouldn't power on. Click on 10sec pause before booting, and it pauses for 60 sec before booting into OS. Click on 30sec pause and it pauses for 0 seconds before booting. Click "Use Function key for Fxx" and I didn't have to. Unticked, I had to. Shit like that. I showed all this to HP Thailand. They didn't know. I didn't know. Who knows. HP Philippines didn't know how warranties worked. I didn't know how to keep talking to them without getting violent.)

I got no more computers but this corrupted MBA and my Smart-as-fuck phone which is a little bit schizophrenic at times but now that we're out of Catholic country it hasn't lost the plot. Huh. How about that, didn't even notice that was a Philippines-unique schizophrenia.

The truth is, I would probably mail you a computer if I had one I didn't need but I don't. My luggage was 66kg because I need my expensive monitors for eye strain. So I dump corrupted systems because I'm not going to insult myself by applying for a refund. I don't buy INTEL high-end systems for refunds.

You should buy one from TradeTang.com. I'm sure you can find better ones this is the first one I looked at. They have Chinese fake MacBook Airs on there for like < $200 sometimes. I've been thinking about buying one actually but haven't gotten around to it.

Even though this girl was a tall, northern european goddess of a woman, the book was so staggeringly stupid that it completely ruined her for me. I couldn't believe she bought into the in the book.
