Say what you will about this guy and his music, but at least he was a real musician, which is just all too rare these days. Modern popular music is nothing more than autotuned singing over repetitive electronic beats, which I am sure most everyone realizes now. But this is how bad it's gotten -- I heard a song on the radio the other day where a girl refers to a guy as "metaphorical gin and juice". How awful is that? Piggy backing off of a classic rap song and referring to a metaphor instead of, you know, writing actual metaphors, metaphors much like Purple Rain. . .
