I love a good bloody. Prefer the Caesar variety though. Best recipe I've ever encountered:
top shelf vodka of your choice
Clamato (don't cheap out and buy any other tomato juice or blend - has to be Clamato)
fresh garlic
Worcestershire
Vietnamese chili sauce (this is the key that makes this Caesar special)
fresh ground black pepper
celery salt (optional)
horseradish (optional)
fresh limes
fresh celery (and other veggies if desired)
Pour equal parts vodka and Clamato over ice, splash in Worcestershire and press in about a 1/8 teaspoon of fresh garlic juice. Mix in 1/4 teaspoon of the Vietnamese chili sauce (you'll have to experiment to see how much heat is good for you - I like mine pretty spicy, but not so much that you can't taste all the other flavors).
Squeeze in half a lime, and grind some fresh black pepper in. You can add a shake of celery salt if you like, but it's not needed to make this the greatest Caesar ever. Likewise if you are a big fan of horseradish, you can put a dab in, but again, the chili sauce, Worcestershire and lime is going to take care of most of the big flavor here.
Garnish with a fresh celery stick and a lime wedge. Enjoy.
You can get creative with your garnishes and build a small salad on your glass rim if you like. I have used olives and Serranos, and even cherry tomatoes. But the celery is mandatory. I avoid pickled veggies - to me, you need the fresh crispy flavor of a fresh veggie to offset the spiciness of the drink.
