yeah vikings has turned out to be a real disappointment hasn't it? I actually find myself watching "the bible" over it and for sure techtoys360 and WPT/HPT poker reruns get that third once over (fuck me the Royal Flush girls get hotter and hotter IT'S NOT RIGHT)
vikings to me lacks a certain something...Braveheart has this something while Arthur lacks it, I hope that makes sense. The story is not terribly engaging and the actors and scripts are just...very C material overall. No overly hot women I can't take my eyes off of, no jaw dropping special effects, no zany Chris Tucker sidekick THEY CAN'T EVEN BEAT 5 YEAR OLD NCIS FOR FUCKS SAKE AND YES I JUST ADMITTED I WATCH NCIS PROBABLY 4 TIMES A WEEK and I watch ncis anyday over vikings...
I found a few really cool shows (most are nat-geo and sports really) but also a BUTTFUCKLOAD of crap and it's all slick looking and has a snazzy description when you hit info AND THEN I SEE THE ALLURING LINES OF A 71 CUDA ON MY TV SCREEN. I SALIVATE, I AM IN HEAVEN - *****AND THEN I WAKE UP TO THE REALIZATION THAT 98% OF THE FUCKING SHOW DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH RESTORING OLD FUCKING CARS, IT'S A BUNCH OF DODGE ADS AND PRODUCT PLACEMENT AND BAD HORRIBLE NASEAUTING DIALOGUE OH MY FUCKING GOD THEY NEVER SHUT THE FUCK UP*****
so to sum up how I feel about comcast and having 700 channels or whatever- it's hit or miss with the hits being very enjoyable and the misses can't miss their mark on my heart and rip it into little teeny tiny pieces and the world is laughing at me and I don't like it and I want a car show mostly about restoring cars I'd like to fantasize I might own one day and then other shows teach me stuff and I can vicariously pretend I am a tuna fisherman or something and ah fuck who cares.
