I was talking about you reading the story and expecting a sinister turn to it. Story seemed pretty straightforward (to me at least). When I read it, all I thought was, "oh, typical Skynigger trying to do good and then getting sidetracked by dope, online slots, and yelling at hippies on the interwebs. Kid is such a rapscallion.".
You benefit from knowing him a lot better, for a lot longer. I wasn't 100% sure where the story was going, I didn't expect him to come out with some crazy wild story, but with the way it started, and the way he describes things, I really was't sure.
I mean, he's bragging about fucking a 17 year old one minute, calling me a pedophile for lusting after 15 year olds the next, then he's saying he doesn't buy the whole "one age fits all" legal system, when suddenly he blasts me for saying I think the people in a given situation are probably the best judge of what's right or wrong, I mean...
Was it possible he struck up some kind of romantic thing with Mai? I thought so, but it turns out I was pretty wrong, and I just want to end things here at skatz with that acknowledgement.
My position is somewhat strange. I find it worthwhile and go out of my way to point out that most men would sleep with slightly underage girls if given a chance. It has very little to do with my own personal preference, which is hardly even anything I want to talk about, and is more an attempt to point out hypocrisy. Of course this makes me a HUGE target, which was unintended.
Let's say, I've had more than my fair share of chances, and turned every one of them down, if that even means a damned thing at this point. The last time anything along the same lines came up my buddy carl was attempting to get me to leave a 15 year old girl half drunk at his place and I floored him, right there on the spot. It was (and is) the last time we spoke. I don't much think a man sleeping with a girl around that age some kind of pedophile, but at 15 girls tend to find themselves easily in a position to be taken advantage of, and I am VERY much against that.
That is my official position, take it or leave it, like it or not, it is the truth. I am not hiding or forgetting anything, and at 31 the youngest girl I EVER slept with was 16 and even that was bad and not something I admit very often. We hit it off, were friends for a couple months, she got it in her head to spend the night, we had horrible sex, i never heard from her again. Next youngest after her was 22, the pedophile thing is far from true.
What hurts me here, and why I doubt very much I will be staying, is that scuter had it in his mind to prove me something I'm not. In fact, the irony of the whole thing is that, in a similar situation (sort of) I did much as he did. Let me explain.
Around 2005 or so, I was at a house party with a few friends and long story short the party gets broken up by cops. Typical.
I have my nice red car, my buddys and I find out where the next party is and head out. Carl, a longtime friend, brings along 2 girls with us, so there was 5 people total in my car. I hardly noticed the girls, I was somewhat heated at the time over something else entirely. I was and I wasn't into hard drugs at this point in my life, I had done coke but it wasn't a deal breaker for the night you know? If it was there, I was all over it, but really I liked having a good time more than anything else.
Turns out a the next party is bunk, and from there we have to find out what the fuck to do. After driving around 20-30 minutes of me screaming at a buddy of mine on the phone why he was a moron for thinking he should kill himself we decide to make a pit stop at carls place, it was pretty close by and all.
Skimming the next hour or so, one of the guys I brought walks off with one of the girls, they were friends or something from what I knew. Didn't bother me. So it's me carl and this girl, who turns out to be 15.
The four had been drinking at the house party, and I didn't think much of it. I had a rule about open alcohol in my car, so they saved it for when we all got back to carls place. After about an hour I decide to head home, still infuriated at my friend (he later attempted suicide on christmas night, that same year, and came damned close to succeeding. That's another story entirely tho) and this girl asks me for a ride home. I hadn't given the whole thing much thought, to me it was a given I'd give her a ride anywhere she wanted. I said sure and went in to tell carl I was taking off. The two had been making out a bit I guess, I mean I had to assume as much since they'd been alone.
So carl goes on about wanting me to just go home, and have a good night and this nice nice bullshit. I asked him what about the girl, he said don't worry about it, he'd walk her home.
Yeah right.
But, being that he had been my friend 5-6 years at that point, I went out to my car where the girl was sitting passenger seat by herself, and asked her point blank what was up with her and carl.
She tells me he tried to fuck her, and when she said no, he got to trying to get her pants off and what not, pretty aggressively. She wanted to go home.
That was the end of it for me. I wasn't MAD at this point, I was a bit annoyed, carl was 23-24 and quite frankly I kind of knew he had a reputation for fucking just about anything, but this girl was drunk, and the stories weren't adding up. The whole thing wasn't worth my time or emotion, I knew in the back of my mind he had probably already fucked her at some point, and might again in the future, just kind of how things rolled in that microcosm of humanity I knew.
I find carl in between my car and his dads apt and he says to me "so you told her to get out or what?"
WRONG THING TO SAY TO ME
I don't cock block, that's for sure, but I am no damned patsy to taking advantage of a young drunk girl, I drove her there and if I left her there anything that happened would be on my head, so him saying that…it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
I was mad.
"Carl, bro, she's 15, if I leave her here, what are you REALLY going to do? Be honest with me.."
He shrugs his shoulder and drops the last words I ever heard him say "I mean, what do you expect me to do? I'll call you later when I'm done if you want, she should still be drunk by then"
I doubt he ever knew or at least remembered what hit him. HIs dad actually heard the hit and came out, went right back inside. That's how bad it was.
I am not a violent person, but I have some deeply rooted seething rage and fury I keep bottled up inside for whatever reason, and pity the man who feels it's force when I lose control. Carl moved to florida right after, never heard much after.
Took the girl home, and said nothing about carl, she said thank you and then thank you again, and that's the last I ever saw her.
Quite frankly, in a similar situation I might not have lost my cool, but when I thought about the girl in my car, I saw a girl I fell for, and i don't know, I could only compare it to protecting one's sister, if that makes sense. (Strange as I am an only child, but whatever) I felt protective for this child, I would never allow anyone to harm her, not even a longtime acquaintance that I thought was a good friend.
For scuter to instanlty label me a sick pervert and go to great lengths to prove as much, it hurt me a great deal, and I will leave things at that. We are not so different, yet living in completely different worlds, that's the truth.
