So I have a new hobby; spey casting.


Basically its fly fishing, but designed for big fish in big water. 13'+ rod, you cast with both hands by flipping the line back, letting the fly + leader + front of fly line 'anchor' in the water, then you use the kinetic force of the loop behind you to rip it out of the water and towards the target.

And its some Jedi shit.


I will post spey casting videos in this thread and will also respond to questions about spey casting.
