Needless to say, I think it will destroy the abomination that is Twitter within 6-12 months. And I wouldn't be going very long on Facebook.

You just can't compete against the power they have - and the way they take the best of each online service and attempt to make it fluid is kinda genius.

Like I was hmm'ing early in my trial of it - then I was forced to use Picasa which I wasn't in love with as an idea as I'm a big fan of Photobucket.

Holy fuck. Picasa is so far beyond god it's ridiculous. I won't ever be able to use Photobucket again.

It's astonishing how high the number of people is who don't 'get' the insane never-before-seen value of Facebook.

Like, I think Google Reader will eventually be the end of Facebook - but I don't think Google Reader will ever come remotely close to providing the hof that Facebook provides - on upper high level strat social gameplay levels. I can't ever see an online social media website which will come close to providing the ability to just fucking destroy fags - if one so wishes and if one has the ability to throw a 5 letter word around, dressed up in some frilly wit or w/e. And the way mentally ill morans get absolutely destroyed by themselves...is thing a thing of beauty.

I'm a fairly high level social player - well, not so much lately, but it had become all a bit "fuck off you generic boring faggots" after 10 years. Ship hermit status. And when Myspace came out, every fuckwit half friend half acquaintance half moran I'd ever known throughout my miserable existence plagued by this vermin tried to get me to sign up. But no one could articulate any value in it - I wasn't getting it. I logged onto a friend's account one day and thought "nup this is retarded - there is nothing here that is intriguing - faggots who give a fuck about moronic tacky html and pixel placement and ugly coding made uglier by non-coders butchering software designed for people who knew zero code...the entire thing was just horrid. I have never come within *consideration* of opening an account - and hella I am moran I have accounts at AdultFriendFinder thinking it was straight up deal and then realising pretty quickly its a fucking web cam business. Hella paid small fortune for hof web came session when I was poor - looked at the bill and destroyed all potential for future acc reg there. And I've even joined up to Fuckbook because the honest-to-god truth is that these sites *can* work as straight up legit deals - but the fucking penny wise pound foolish morans who set them up are unable to not fuck them like Ion fucking a poker forum.

Facebook came out and I started hearing whispers of it and initially assumed a new kind of Myspace. The first friend who actually mentioned some of the features had me thinking "umm this is a potentially far more intriguing thing here". I tentatively logged in and within 20 min had spotted some REAL dangers with the status updates, being not completely oblivious to the nature of mental illness - having been living on the opposite pole for most of my life. I worked non-stop getting up to max operational capacity. It was a Maserati I'd been given the use of for the afternoon or so for free and didn't know when the value in it would be erased. So I didn't sit around eating cucumber sandwiches whilst the car sat in the driveway parked.

It has stunned me that the Maserati I'd excepted for the afternoon has yet to be claimed or broken down or any serious problems in two years.

I don't think the history of the world will ever see another social media come remotely close in providing functionality that allows non-morans to destroy / punish / advantage morans at the level Facebook has done.

Twitter launching a company that primarily offered a tiny part of Facebook's overall functionality. And used moranic concept with moranic target customer base in a moranic attempt to turn a moranic world even more moranic.

Fuck Twitter. Terrible. On so so so many levels. And...dangerous...in it's horridly irresponsible and unforgivable attempt to make a terrible world more Terrible.

They should get Ion to be their picture boy. It's just so perfect.
