I actually would like to know as well. Right now I can't reach verizon customer service to get my phone back on because wildfires in colorado wiped out their customer service center a few days ago.
Hope all is well Rum Dick, sorry to hear you have to sweat it out in Wvirginia (which is a shithole to begin with I am told) and hope your house is cool. California gets hit pretty hard with wildfires at times (oakland hills a few years back, some bad fires in belmont a year or two ago) and it wreaks havoc on people's lives. Best wishes.

Also what can you really do? Drench your front yard with water? I've never been in that spot, it must be a fucking nightmare with the smoke and chaos and everything.
Homeowners insurance covers everything no? Not the intangibles you cannot put a price tag on but your stuff that is replaceable like tv's and furniture would be paid for correct?
