It's obviously possible, but the Kavanaugh situation came down to like two senators. 54-46 or 55-50 margin means there's pretty much no question his nomination gets pushed through.
i always thought if the dems took control of the white house and both chambers of congress, they'd simply vote to expand the supreme court, not that i think that's a good thing for the country. we probably don't want to see 87 supreme court justices in 50 years.
now it's just hard to imagine the dems taking back the senate in the near future so the point is probably moot.
