Now jogging your memory as far back as you can for every time you and he spoke and the conversation was about you, add 1 point. For every time Jewdonk talks about himself, subtract 1 point.
-1point for each time you tried talking to him and as soon as he figured out you were in trouble, needed advice, needed a friend etc and he instantly had to go. +1 point for each time you did the same to him.
-1pt for the times he bitched and complained about how people treated him online and tried to coerce you into "having his back" online. +1pt for each time you did the same to him.
Doesn't take long to see which direction your "friendship" with that man has been going does it? I do not have anything against you Chaps, you are good people, you deserve to have friends who treat you like you deserve.
You may criticize Scooter for a good many things, but I know one thing he delivers that marty will never be capable of- he adds value to the lives he interacts with. What value does marty add to your life Chaps? Does he help promote your music career? Give you a shoulder to lean on when you are upset? Does he stand ground and have your back at every opportunity? Does he contact you out of the blue and want to know how you are doing, without using such questions as a lead in to him poignantly talking about himself?
Do you understand the difference between a healthy friendship vs unhealthy one Chaps? I have a really good marker for you to judge by- a true friend cares for the people he interacts with and takes care not to expose his worries and faults because he does not want his friends to worry about his well being.
Obviously that leaves only good things to gossip about, and that's what a true friend wants to share with you- his accomplishments, things he has done he's proud of, not his drama and hardships.
Hoser for example will hit me up on AIM and ask how I am doing, asks questions, then usually has something positive to share, like him recently graduating college. He never bitches about not having money, or wants me to know how unhappy he is, and why would he? It would make me worry and feel down about his life, and this neither helps his position in any way while detracting from me potentially in a big way, which would be Selfish of him to do.
Marty as I am sure you know from experience never talks about anything but his hardships, how abused he is online, how depressed he is. He never ever wants to talk about anything else and typically will just sign right off or hang up the phone if the other person tries to change the subject onto anything other than him. I know from experienceChaps, I have been there, I have gone down that road and know exactly where it leads.
