I'm not sure why people are assuming Barkley is going to be a 1500 yard phenom when nothing he did last season in college proved that. The only good defense he faced held him to 44 yards on 21 carries, and take away his 36 yard run and it's the most embarrassing stat line for a supposedly premier back in modern college football history. This goes without mentioning that what? Four or five rookies in the last 30 years have had huge seasons at that position, one of which was Peterson? Fraud.
That was almost entirely on the defense and terrible tackling . Him not getting lucky on one play would have lead to 18 attempts for 40 yards. Sounds about right.
