Online news outlets said they can have Kawhi or Gasol on the roster but not both. Also LOL at paying Kyle Lowry 33million. I mean can we all just agree on that? If Lowry is getting 33 mill, you think money grabbin Kawhi is gonna sign for anything less than 35 milly? According to the salary cap they have 40 milly total and have a few guys who's contracts are up

your understanding of the nba salary cap rules is just horribly off. whatever you're reading is wrong.

gasol has a $25 million player option that he'll probably opt into. he won't even be a free agent.

danny green and kawhi are the only two free agents of note. both can be signed to whatever the raptors want up to the limits of a maximum contract. kawhi will obviously be offered the maximum allowed. if he wants to stay, the only question is how long does he want to commit to.

i repeat -- they can go over the salary cap to sign them.

I was mistaken I thought for the past year that Kawhi would be eligible for the max, max after 2020, but apparently it's two years.

Also Gasol looked pretty slow out there. $25mill for him seems overpriced
