Default LA > Vegas

Whats the best way to do this ?

Thinking i will be there in January and think it may be a good experience to do the drive. Is the drive worth doing or should i just fly direct into Vegas?

Anything worth seeing on the way or is it just desert ?

its such a short flight that it doesnt really matter, as long as they leave on time.

but if not virgin then southwest, which is reliable and such.

i used to drive it all the time. lived in vegas, parents in LA. fun drive, just do it at night, when there is no traffic.

the perfect time is to leave LA at like 4.. 5am.. you pass through this mountain range covered in layers of fog as the sun comes up. then right around 7am youre in the desert with the morning sun. shits just gorgeous.

but driving at night sounds no fun at all if i cant see shit whats the point. maybe its all desert anyway and noting to see. i was just gonna fly bkk > vegas but best i can find is like 30+ hours travel time with all the changing of planes. fuck that for a laugh i can get to la in like half the time but if i am only going to catch another plane after that its probably pointless.

driving at night is awesome because you can average 90mph.

seriously ive done that drive, a lot. you dont want to do it at 50mph, half a car length between everyone else.
