This was the fluke play the Rams needed. Goff is just simply not a good quarterback. I wouldn't be surprised if they miss the playoffs next year.

Fire McVay and promote Phillips. Seriously. If Gurley was anywhere near healthy he deserves to be fired. The Rams defense did an incredible job considering the Patriots had the ball pretty much the entire game. This is going to look like an entirely different and shitty team if he takes a head coaching job.

In fact, the optimal decision for the team is to promote Phillips if he is offered another job. I know they would never do that, but seriously, these college offense guys are a dime a dozen. The psychology of this situation is ugly. The guy the same age as his players starts looking like a real jackass after this kind of loss, an irredeemable jackass if Gurley is healthy and they all know it. That locker room will be interesting next season.

Yep, Goff isn't good. He'll continue to throw up 3500-4500 yards every year in this new RPO style of play. Every hard earned record is about to be shattered and it's a joke. When the bill comes due for that D line and new contracts, that's when it's over with.
