Just think about it for a second. The show was written on the principle that all actions have consequences/karma, and it stuck to that up until this season, when it slowly started wrapping up into literally the safest/most audience pleasing ending possible. Walt was the center of everything terrible that happened to every single character on the show, this even being purposefully expressed by character's wardrobes' darkening in color as the more they become involved with him, and the only price he pays for all his actions is brother in law being murdered and his son hating him? Him losing his family for less than a year while living in a shack in the New Hampshire country side does not make up for that. Him battling cancer again does not make up for that -- if anything it makes his death just that much more of pussy way out, because it is almost implied that he was going to die anyways. He didn't even deserve the satisfaction of death. I can keep going, but the point is that they literally took the most pussy direction possible in leading to the end, and the finale only makes the second half of the season that much worse once you realize it.
so from your perspective, walt's family ends up hating him, his family ends up living in a terrible apartment, skyler ends up working as a taxi dispatcher, his brother in law gets killed, walt lives in exile for a year and then ends up getting shot and killed. . . and he never suffered any consequences for his actions?

Did I say he didn't suffer any consequences? No, I didn't. Look at what happened to every one of the other characters over the course of the show that were directly involved with him, most importantly Jesse. That's not even the most important failure of the last few episodes. I don't know how anyone that has watched all of the previous seasons can't see the beef with the cliche filled, overly predictable finale. When anyone can very easily predict 90% of what is going to happen in a shows finale episode, is it not a sure fire sign of tired, forced writing?
It honestly wasn't that bad, but the point is that it could have been much, much better. I think that the second half of this season was the worst of the series. The only thing it had going for it was the intensity formed by knowing there was going to be a conclusion. Shit was weak, bro. Honestly compare this bullshit to the storylines involving Gus and tell me that it comes anywhere close to that level.

I mean seriously, you guys liked this shit? Think back to how much of this was filler content over the last 8 episodes, and how they didn't at all build Walt up to being a redeeming, returning, conquering hero he was made out to be, who died with a smile on his face in a meth lab. If you didn't know it was all going to end soon, would any of what happened really have been that interesting? It was a force fed fucking trite ending to what was otherwise one of the goat show on television. The Sopranos and The Wire > infinitely better. They dropped the fucking ball in the last season. Did they really make the Aryan Brotherhood guys and Lydia out to be worthy antagonist of what the show had lead us to come to expect, especially considering it was the -fucking- end? Come on. You guys that are supporting this have got to be fucking kidding me.
