The article says "It is thought an accidental amount of DEET".. Thought? By who? Why would they not assume some psychopath does do this on occasion when he finds the appropriate victims?

I was like DEET huh. I got some DEET sittnig around maybe i can get high off it. SO I websearched. So these 2 girls drank somethign called 4x100 which is a popular drnk amongst MUSLIM youth. Coca-cola, kratom. and some kinda syrup (prefererably narcotic..) The 4th ingredient isn't typically DEET and varies.

Everything in Thailand is considered accidental unless there is some reason not to; and no, "suspicious circumstances" is not considered a reason to get emotional about justice.

If you think about it, and by "it" of course I mean "motive", the Thai police get it right more often than not. What would be the motive to kill these girls?

Someone just fucked up. And probably, it was the girls' terrible judgement of character. There is no one preying on girls for this purpose, their deaths serve no purpose. But there is a lot of creeps in this horrifying world. Those girls look like the type who grew up being told that those who are sweet to them are nice, and those who aren't sweet to them are dangerous.

Funny. I've always thought it was the other way around.

But what do I know. I'm only right almost all the time.

That said, the number of tourist deaths in Thailand seems remarkably high but it's impossible for me to know whether that's merely a function of traffic. I think it's funny how few male suicides are reported, cause that number is through the roof.

But usually they just land on cement.

I have a highly attenuated sense of paranoia and I seriously doubt anything sinister went down here.

That drink is popular specifically to muslims because it contains no alcohol. That means they're religious enough to drink these weird cocktails instead of a simple bottle of alcohol due to their religion. If they're that religious then they're that crazy. Who knows. How do you get the bug spray mixed up in the cocktail?

Find some reference to deet being used to get high. I looked some. No luck. Kinda an odd way to "overdose" when it isn't used to dose to begin with. Shouldn't it be "poisoning" ?
