esoterix and i used to talk all the time, on aim and on the phone. i let him read some fiction i was working on and he gave me a few ideas and we talked about addiction. it was a period when i was drinking about 5 quarts of vodka a week and gambling heavily and my mood was very erratic. he would always try to get me to watch west wing, but i was too drunk to watch shows without any tits or gunplay. i was in philadelphia for almost a week once and he wanted to hang out and i totally blanked him and then we didnt talk much because he got way into the poker and i cant stand that shit and he moved to vegas and died and i really regret not just going and having some fries with the guy. i've still never seen an episode of west wing.
