You've really got to decide if you want variable speed, because it's a pretty rare feature.
If you don't need it, here's what you should do:
Go
here and purchase a Milwaukee M18 Fuel hammer drill and impact driver kit with two 5.0 Ah batteries. It will cost $299 plus tax and you will get a free hat. Until yesterday they were giving out free sweatshirts, but they were only size XL, so irrelevant to your needs. You will also get a free battery, but as soon as you complete your purchase you should email
customerservice@internationaltool.com and tell them that you do not want that battery and would rather have a 2720-20 Milwaukee M18 Fuel Sawzall instead. This is by far the best deal going to enter into a professional quality cordless tool collection.
Then get on the google and purchase a Milwaukee M18 Fuel 4-1/2" angle grinder, available as model 2780-20 with a paddle switch or model 2781-20 with a locking slide switch. The difference is that if you start spasming and drop your grinder on your dick, the paddle switch model will be rotating at a slightly reduced speed when it hits you. I have the slide switch model and it's fantastic. I like to be able to turn it on and forget it for extended use with a flap disc and I trust myself not to drop my grinder on my dick. Home Depot has a pretty good deal on the paddle switch for $139 plus tax, and I think the best deal right now on the slide switch is at Acme Tools for $179 -11% with the promo code THANKSVETS (which ends today) and no tax.
So you'd be looking at a total of something less than $500 for four very nice brushless tools, two batteries, and a hat. I own two each of the drill, impact driver, and sawzall, and the one grinder, and recommend them highly.
If you get heavily involved in the Milwaukee M18 system, they also make a couple of larger angle grinders. I own a model 2785 M18 Fuel 9" angle grinder, and it's got a terrifying amount of ass to it. For some reason there's been a lot of them on ebay. I got mine for $135 a few months ago but lately they've been more like $160, which is still a good deal if you're interested in doing some serious crimes.
