Happy Saturdays all, today we have a the dynamic duo of Fumbles and Mittens. They are both 2 years old from Orlando, Florida.




Here are my 2 loveable kits, Fumbles (striped) and Mittens (black).



Fumbles is a very chatty and sociable cat. My every move is accompanied with purrs and mews; I think its so sweet the way he likes to talk to me



Mittens is beautiful, with a very shiny coat. He is calm and quiet, but at the same time he likes to play with everything he can get his paws on. He does get a bit nervous of loud noises and very sudden movements.

They both get on famously, and the only time they “fight” is over who is getting the most attention and the place on my lap.

</p>Stuart Dunkel is a painter, a musician and an author. He has studied music at Boston University, Mannes College of Music, the Juilliard School (Doctorate), and art at the Boston Museum School, Kent State, the Academy of Realist Art, the Seattle Academy of Art as well as privately with respected teachers. Even after his extensive education, Dunkel still feels that he is self-taught, because he has utilized his innate artistic abilities throughout his life.

This extremely versatile artist is best known for his small, sweet paintings of mice, typically with treats. Beneath their cute exterior, these paintings reflect Dunkel’s intelligence and creativity in forming great compositions. Dunkel’s primary influences come from the Netherlands artists between 1550 and 1720 for their clarity of image and beauty in painting. The surreal aspects of Dunkel’s work may stem from his early influence by Dali.

Stuart describes the work by saying, “My paintings are autobiographical. They reflect and explore issues in my life. I like to transpose my philosophical ideas into the creation of still life, animal, and landscape paintings. I cherish the teachings and procedures of the old masters, especially the Dutch painters, and encourage my students to explore and continue with these rich traditions. I seek to achieve strong, balanced, and interesting compositions, using movement to lead the viewer through my work. Looking at my art, I would like a collector to find a secret place within them where they discover the knowledge and truth of joy, optimism, humor and playfulness, as well as a sense of classical balance and beauty.”

To round off this weekend we have Marsha. She is 4 years old and resides in Northampton, UK.




Marsha has been my constant companion for the last 3 and a half years. I got her from a local shelter when she was 6 months old. Marsha took to her new home immediately.



Marsha absolutely adores human company. As soon as anybody comes into the house she wants to greet them, usually hoping to get some strokes in return.
