See what happens with my USBs (and yours, if you were important enough) is that they're all corrupted by the manufacturers (like SanDisk) to corrupt systems to ensure remote images can be booted. All my CD drives (internal and external) as well as SD card slots get diverted to this virtual mount point which lies underneath any OS I manage to get operational.

This is a 8GB USB flash drive I zero filled using a
# dd if=/dev/random of=/dev/sdc Linux command to write random data to every block followed by a
# dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdc command to zero-fill (write 0's to every block). Then I used MiniTool Partition Wizard to scan the zero-filled USB flash drive.
Yeah so...that's a random-filled & zero-filled USB drive. First, look at the scrollbar on the right. There's like thousands of these C-ROOT ghost partitions on all my drives.
C-ROOT = C: drive or CDROM drive.
ROOT = root (root permissions or root of system, because it boots before anything else).
Used Size = CDs are 700MB.
