Have you seen the new Windows Live Mail Beta just launched like this week? Windows Live is hella attacking Google - I guess the counter-attack had to come sooner or later but it will make for an interesting war. For the Internet.
For use in a web browser, I actually prefer Windows Live (or Hotmail) to both Yahoo Mail and G-mail. Simply because the interface is the most like Outlook, which I am accustomed to. Their recent updates have been a positive for the most part, although it's still impossible to teach the program how to discern what is junk mail.
The only way I have found to make G-mail tolerable is to siphon it through Outlook. Since Google makes this option completely available, they get an extra 10 points. Hotmail, or WL, took that option away about a year ago in an effort to force users to upgrade to their paid version. You can still get around it with a cheat, but it is imperfect. I guess in the end, G-mail wins, as long as I don't have to check my mail through a browser. I absolutely hate the grouping thing, and it is stupid that there is no option to eliminate it.
