I keep wondering how the Kim Wexler story line is going to end. They have made some hints. I noticed early in the season that she was wearing a Royals t-shirt, which obviously meant that she is from somewhere around Kansas City, even though the Royals won the world series, and later on in the show she explained in the meeting with the law firm trying to recruit her that she is from a small town on the Nebraska/Kansas line --- I think this entire show is built off of the ". . . a Cinnabon in Omaha" line -- Maybe something goes wrong and she ends up back around home in Omaha. Pretty fitting if so, and it will make that line even more iconic.

How do they get to that point though, and how does the timeline interweave with that of Breaking Bad if so? This fucking show, man.


Unrelated for the most part, but the scene post meeting where she reveals being from the small town and ends up on the rooftop of the parking garage having a cigarette is just gloriously done. It freezes to a still of her smoking, and that's like the best shot I can remember seeing in a television show maybe ever.

The finale was a bit underwhelming with no Fring appearance, but the note left on the car is obviously his work, not that I even need to type that. And Vince 100% confirmed he is coming in season three. He and Peter Gould confirmed the above posted autist theory was also intentional but didn't want the lid blown off this early.

I think this show is bordering on too much Chuck at this point, and the whole tape recorder thing was way too obvious and really cheap writing considering what got us here. They quickly need to tie Saul to the Mike story line and back off this Chuck nonsense, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon. Both Gould and Gilligan confirmed that they are writing the show as it goes just like Breaking Bad, and unfortunately it appears they've backed the show into an electricity phobia corner in a showdown between two weird brothers when we all just really want some actual criminal, drug dealing shit to go down. The Mike story line almost feels likes its own series -- just compare and contrast the desert sniper scene to the Chuck and Jimmy's dying mother flashback.
