Actually, that's exactly what it means. When freedom is abused, it is not an excuse to take liberties with liberty. If you can't understand why liberty includes the right to abuse it, then you are going to be a rather generic victim of those who are bright enough to play your fears against you and dumb enough to play your fears against you.
If you dislike the abuse of liberty, you should make a convincing case to those you wish would behave in a different way.

#2- You and I have a few things in common, one of them being a strong desire for intelligent rational discourse. Our common enemy is the bane of all internet forums, the creeps who hang out in the shadows reading and enjoying other people's material without contributing anything of their own. If this trend continued, it would kill forums of course, as internet forums exist only by the hands of their contributors.
For the last ~1.5 years or so I have watched you slide into the abyss and I guess it's futile to wait for you to come around so I'll just point something out to you- after a couple months of you not posting, one might assume you have "moved on" in life, put the forums in your rear view.
But not once TWICE now you've popped in within MINUTES of a thread or post being directed at you. Do you know what this means? Obviously you are reading the forums constantly, yet contributing NOTHING.
It means you are becoming (or have become) exactly what you hate most.
