About Maggie:

Maggie Evans was born in Denton, Texas in 1980. She graduated from Utah State University with a BFA in Illustration in 2003 and received an MFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2007.

Maggie’s art is perpetuated by her intimacy with music. Her current portfolio is based on her experiences playing bass in a blues band in bars throughout Georgia and South Carolina. Working from memory in charcoal on paper, Maggie uses an improvisatory approach to explore the gritty character of bars from her perspective as a musician.

Maggie’s work is included in several private and public collections throughout the United States. She was awarded the Graduate Fellows Award from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005 and has received placement awards in a number of group exhibitions. Maggie has had five solo exhibitions and has been included in several invitational exhibits as well as over twenty-five group shows. In addition to working as an artist, she performs regularly throughout the southeast as the bassist and vocalist of Silver Lining, David Lugo and Latin Jazz Motion, and the Hitman Blues Band.

Hi, I'm Robbie! I was born in Puerto Rico and was rescued by the SCPA. My full name is Roberto because I came from Puerto Rico, but everyone calls me Robbie for short. I now live in New Jersey in a wonderful home two blocks from the beach. I have a lot of dog friends and I love to play; I can run around for hours without getting tired! I am a fast learner and know many tricks already. Apples and bell peppers, especially the yellow ones, are some of my favorite snacks. Although I'm a very active puppy, I am extremely affectionate and just love to cuddle up. My parents sometimes call me "Mr. Stretch" because I am always stretching out when I get up from a night's sleep or just a short nap. I am long, lean and apparently very cute. My dog mom was a Rottweiler, but people say I look a lot like a Doberman; I think that's what my dad probably was.

Saturn's rings cut across this view of the planet's largest moon, Titan. Dark albedo features on Titan (5,150 kilometers, or 3,200 miles across) and the moon's north polar hood are visible here. This view looks toward the southern, unilluminated side of the rings from just below the ringplane and toward the Saturn-facing side of Titan. North on Titan is up. The image was taken with the Cassini spacecraft narrow-angle camera on May 12, 2011 using a spectral filter sensitive to wavelengths of near-infrared light centered at 938 nanometers. The view was acquired at a distance of approximately 2.3 million kilometers (1.4 million miles) from Titan and at a Sun-Titan-spacecraft, or phase, angle of 11 degrees. Image scale is 14 kilometers (9 miles) per pixel. The Cassini-Huygens mission is a cooperative project of NASA, the European Space Agency and the Italian Space Agency. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, manages the mission for NASA's Science Mission Directorate in Washington. The Cassini orbiter and its two onboard cameras were designed, developed and assembled at JPL. The imaging team is based at the Space Science Institute, Boulder, Colo.

The big leads are that three bracelets were awarded on Tuesday…the guy who should’ve been POY last year–Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi–has finally awoken and is in contention for a bracelet…and the guy who could be this year’s POY–Ben Lambeer– finds himself positioned for his second bracelet of ’11.

:: Event #43 ($1,500 NLH) – Brazil’sAndre Akkari went into heads-up play at about a 3-to-1 chip disadvantage to Nachman Berlin, but pulled it out to bank a bracelet and$675,117.

:: Event #44 ($2,500 Razz!) - Razz!, the card game sweeping the nation, has it’s 2011 WSOP winner.Stephen Su went into heads-up play with 1,655,000 chips toRep Porter‘s 1,080,000. But like Akkari, Porter came from behind to win his second bracelet (first was in 2008) and$210,615.

:: Event #45 ($1,000 NLH) – Ken Griffin (above) captured his first bracelet, defeating a field of 2,890 and final table that included Antonio Esfandiari (7th – $58,288).
