Italian rounder Carla Solinas was one of many pros who brought out the big guns on Day 2B.


We’ll have what Ben Lamb is having.

Lamb has made the 2011 WSOP his coming out party. He’s second in Player of the Year rankings (behind Phil Hellmuth). And he’s now chip leader at the 2011 WSOP Main Event for the second straight(ish) day, sitting with 551,600.

A number of big names aren’t far behind Lamb. Some notable bigs atop the leaderboard include Kevin Saul (542,200), Ryan D’Angelo (462,300), and Patrik Antonius (361,000).

Wednesday is an off-day as the two merged fields come together on Thursday for Day 3.

I never understood what it meant to smell like cigarette smoke until I spent my first night away from home at college for undergrad. As I hung my clothes in the campus provided chifferobe, I noticed that everything from my favorite denim jacket to the duffel bag I carried it in smelled like I had been hanging in a back alley pool hall. Now I understood why past boyfriends had always suspected that I had been in a bar all night or why classmates in high school would always assume I had a lighter. I never could smell it until I actually moved out of my house. The problem is that I didn't even smoke, but I did live in a house with parents who had smoked all of my life.Share Tweet

Neptune has spots. The Solar System's outermost gas giant shows a nearly uniform blue hue created by small amounts of methane drifting in a thick atmosphere of nearly colorless hydrogen and helium. Dark spots do appear, however, that are anti-cyclones: large high-pressure systems that swirl in Neptune's cold cloud tops. Two dark spots are visible in the above picture taken by the robot Voyager 2 spacecraft in 1989: an Earth-sized Great Dark Spot located on the far left, and Dark Spot 2 located near bottom. A bright cloud dubbed Scooter accompanies the Great Dark Spot. Recent computer simulations indicate that scooters are methane clouds that might commonly be found near dark spots. Subsequent images of Neptune by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1994 indicated that both of these dark spots had dissipated, but another had been created.
