I was pretty damned close to considering suing, I would have regretted it though. This is an old friend, some 7 years now, I think I was more hurt that he didn't say thank you and be appreciative more than anythign.
This morning around 7am my buddy started texting me asking for receipts for the repairs and complaining about the car being dirty, but acknowledging that I did a pretty good job and he was surprised I did as well as I did considering I have very little car knowledge. And I have sourced over 5k worth of very hard to find items for him, which he's grateful to no end for, which I believe went a long way in helping.

Fwiw, I try to make good choices in my lifetime, and point blank, I fucked up on a few big ones. More on this all later, and the car situation, perhaps I withheld pertinent information, but at the time I posted the original post of this thread, I didn't think to consider ALL the angles, but that does not mean I did so on purpose.
Scuter you are really not the best communicator, I believe you when you say your intentions are good, and that makes sense to me now, but at times I have a very hard time understanding what you are saying, despite my best efforts. When I'm medicated, what you say sometimes comes out more clearly, but today for example, I just had that "back against the wall, swinging at air" feeling, and I am sorry for the shitty things I said.
