But I do believe you are correct in terms of not being able to move beyond it; at least, this is what I've been thinking of late. It's all about parents & their butchering of Early Childhood (Emotional) Development; but those who own the $500 million media empires feel they have a vested interest in sustaining the emotional degradation of our (enslaved) species. Exploited women (and men) pass their emotional degradation (trauma, fears, ignorance, love, etc) on to their children; not because they're vile but merely in denial about why they're breeding children of their own in the first place.

21,000 children who belong to Humanity die in agony every day (~8 million / annum). We're the most inhumane species on the planet. We're sociopaths who feel selective empathy.

I concede this is probably correct. I no longer believe rebuilding psyche is a feasible proposition. No, it's a good response. I apologise for not seeing it until now. It's kind of gallows hilarious, this world of irony where everyone deserves their misery & suffering (except for the children, but then they just propagate the exploitation of themselves over time). Humans are so infinitesimally tiny now, I cannot even make the case for Sanity. I'm no hippie nor am I a sentimental idealist; I'm only interested in pure optimality & logic.

The optimality of everyone doing the opposite to what they're doing to children now (Truth > Lies; Education > Deceit; raising kids to think critically rather feel emotionally)...bah. Our species should be so many levels higher than where we're trapped presently; we'd be in the stratosphere. When everyone knows how to play Prisoner's dilemma optimally, the textbook line is grossly sub-optimal.

But nothing can be done. So we'll remain in the gutter, where we belong; breeding children of our own to prove we are sociopaths rather than humane. You know why mothers breed children of their own, right? They can't run this Confidence Trick on an orphan:
