i'm thinking he loses michigan, wisconsin, minnesota and PA though
It's wishful thinking. Due to the cyclic nature of politics, unless an incredibly strong black candidate or another Ross Perot emerges, it's hard to see him losing if he runs. I think the strongest Democrat candidates will stay away from 2020 and instead take the more sure thing in 2024.

Trump won PA by 44,000 votes. Gary Johnson got 146k and Jill Stein got 49k. Hopefully those idiots have learned their lesson, in the same way that I did after voting for Nader in 2000.
If you didn't realize voting for Nader wasn't going anywhere, then Mr. Buttermilk, perhaps you shouldn't participate.
And just as a reminder, young people didn't turn out in 2016.
You know why young people and people like me don't vote? It's because it doesn't matter. Nothing we do will ever put an honest person in charge. And settling for the lesser of the two evils isn't democracy. It's all one big joke

The thing is, he won't run and mueller will probably have his kids in handcuffs.
But if he does run, it's not wishful thinking to think that he won't win swing states that he squeaked by going against the most unliked candidate in presidential history.
In fact, if the election was today, he would lose all of those states in a landslide. Look at what's happened in those states since 2016.
I cannot wait to bet this with you if he's around in 2020.

But they did vote for obama. And i don't think anyone gets how much they hate donald trump. Like real reaaaal hate.
I'm just gonna come out and say this. Trump would lose to elizabeth warren.
BOOM. (Please god don't let warren be the democratic candidate.)

This is incorrect. Trump will never be more polarizing than he was prior to the election. I am still technically a young person, and my girlfriend is still college age, with many of her friends younger and exactly the type one would assume would be the most adamant Never Trumpers. Those people obviously still hate him but have so far realized the world hasn't ended because he was elected. It's going to take an Obama type out of nowhere to bring out the energy needed to get these people to vote. I have a wide variety of friends and people I interact with across several states still like I did prior to 2016. My observations would be that white people are still committed to seeing this thing through, Trumps assholish character and social media trolling has been surprisingly effective in changing the way he's viewed by his haters, and that the only people still energized about getting him out of office are the same crowd that lost.
I strongly disagree that he would lose if the election was held today. It would be a landslide. This is also the first year that people get the 12k individual tax deduction etc.
