Philip Seymour Hoffman's cause of death released. . .
Well, it was pretty obvious, but finding out the cocktail of drugs he was on in apparently massive, massive doses is still a little bit surprising.
I remember one of my uncles telling me a story of coming to in a ditch in Seattle in the early 70s. He said the last thing he could remember was a bender that peaked with repeated speedball injections and then it just goes blank. He found a payphone and called another of my uncles asking if he could hear his voice, convinced he was dead.
Heroin and cocaine just doesn't mix.
