I just bought 15 galaxy tablets. They seem to be super fast, but that's running on 2.2 and not Honeycomb. We use them for work to input orders at restaurants and for some of our tech's out in the field. Went with them them over iPad because of the size. iPad is too big for someone to carry on them all the time and the galaxy tab is the perfect size and weight.
Android is fucking awesome but such a pain in the ass to develop in. Developing for iPad and iPhone ios4 seems like nothing compared to writing code for android. The problem is that with android you have to code everything to work on multiple devices with different memory, speeds, and sizes. So visually you have to program everything pretty much like HTML and not easy x, y coordinates like in iOS 4. Also the way it handles SQL is way different and forces you to do it the right way and not the fast way, which is not awesome when you are trying to code for yourself and not for the mass market. With apple it's always the same 2 devices with the same specs, only minor changes need to be made during upgrades unlike with Android, which is in it's infancy, where every update changes things dramitically. Always for the better in my opinion, but apple is waaaaaaaay to far ahead at this point.
I'm a Mac guy, but think it's important for their to be someone out there like android who is truly going to be a force to be reckoned with in not just the wireless industry, but in just about every industry that uses computers.
