On topic here are the two hammers I use the most, a California framer and a hammer I made myself (I went through a wannabe blacksmithing phase and decided to craft my own hammer. It started life as an 8 lb splitting maul and was supposed to be a right hand diagonal peen hammer. I used my angle grinder to chop down the head and milled the face pretty flat. I had filed it for a couple weeks it was quite a project...it's my baby)
Oh and it's says Jason Bart as I used it on the job and dont trust motherfuckers so I put my name on everything that's mine.
you all know my feelings about estwings, but for the record it should be noted that the now-discontinued estwing model a3-17 asian pattern hammer with milled face and nylon-vinyl grip is still available online
