Sociopath = made
otherwise they're the same. So a psychopath is basically a biological sociopath. A sociopath is made to be psychotic by Society.

a psychopath is someone who has a irrational scale of responses to situations and lacks a sense of boundaries regarding responses. eg a psychopath will justify murder based on rage/anger/the release of anxiety/compulsion.
a sociopath lacks an empathic sympathy/connection with other people, murder for a sociopath is not an emotional affair, its simply interesting or a challenge.
psychopathic behavior can be environmentally induced (project monarch, etc). sociopathic tendencies are a defect and generally accepted to be something certain people are born with an inclination towards.
that said, where the human mind is involved, things are rarely cut and dried.
Richard 'The Iceman' Kuklinski is one of the few examples I can think of of a pure sociopath. The most telling moment in his career is when he tied someone up in a cave and propped a video camera up in front of them. He returned days later to retrieve the tape and said he first suspected something was terribly wrong with him as he sat in his living room with his family asleep upstairs, calmly watching footage of rats eating his victim alive. He wasnt disturbed in the slightest by the footage or that a man he tied up was being eaten alive by rats, he was concerned that 'normal' functioning adults would not sit there and watch a video tape of it with absolutely no regrets or disgust; he simply was indifferent on a grand scale to the misery of others.
