ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque man is in jail after a bizarre chain of events on a busy street.

Witnesses say it started with 25-year-old Luis Briones behind the wheel, with a woman on his lap apparently having sex.

They say he ran a red light at 2600 Pennsylvania northeast and crashed, throwing the naked woman from the car.

According to the criminal complaint, Briones tried to drive away, leaving the woman behind.

A witness was able to grab his keys.

Police found Briones with one shoe and his shorts on inside out.

They say he was clearly drunk.

Briones is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, aggravated DWI and having an open container.
