Rofl brilliant thread. Quick hijack - back in the day when i was a waiter/bartender (mid 90s) switzer sat in my section, dude was a prick. Literally did not acknowledge my existence the entire time and had his assistant do his ordering for him. Also was a cheap bastard as far as tipping (could see that coming so may have put his soup spoon somewhere prior to delivering the minestrone).
Ric flair on the other hand was god. Super cool, chill, funny, and left a huge tip (course he did use a company card so ted turner really responsible for the tip).
I've heard that due to Switzer's family background ( his father was a bootlegger, his mother committed suicide), that he could relate better the the black athlete than any coach of his generation. This is just further proof.
The NCAA has called a 9 a.m. ET Monday press conference to address the situation in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal. CBS News reported earlier Sunday that the NCAA will hit Penn State with “unprecedented” penalties. A source confirmed that for CBSSports.com. There are indications that the penalties could be so unique and severe they would be different than any previously applied by the NCAA.
CBSSports.com has also learned that the penalties could last beyond one season. The NCAA on Sunday said that it will levy “corrective and punitive actions” against the school. A person with knowledge of the process said there is a way to impact Penn State's competitive ability in football without applying the so-called “death penalty.” That term could be mere semantics by the time the NCAA sanctions are announced according to a source. Penn State, the source said, may prefer the death penalty.
get real there is too much money to be made for the big 10 to let them get the death penalty
unless the big 10 throws them under the bus in exchange for still having a conference championship game
No one is saying they are getting the death penalty, dumbazz. They are just getting brutal sanctions over many years, that will make them wish they had the death penalty. Stick to futbol, geek.
