I am sure Scooter would kill to relive the last 2-4 years and do things differently. Since he can't, pretending materialism sickens him is probably the best option at this point. Saving face and all that.
Too bad it's not actual money he's saving, but hey, life does not come with an instruction manual.
The funny thing about money and why it's never bothered me much to do without- it can always be made back. Money can always be made, girls can always be found, just takes some patience and grit is all.
Scuter, if you are getting a bit melancholy (and I believe you are) about what you've lost, please don't. Instead, try to focus on what you've gained, all the fun you've had etc. You've lost nothing in my eyes.
Quite the opposite, in fact.

Just throwing sand in his eyes because I have like 40-50 tomatoes from him out of the last 55 reps he's thrown my way.
I have tried ignoring him to no avail, reasoning with him is LOL, and he won't level with me and talk with civility like humans do, so I am left with tit for tat at this point.
If I knew how to make him happy I would, but the same could be said for my mother as per the usual.
She seems randomly very happy with me at the moment, Scuter at times sends me apples as well...
