Have you been a member of a specialist mine clearance team? You know the guys that go in and clean up what the Basiji didn't manage to clear with their prepubescent little warrior legs? Do such specialists exist? And why would they? No one expects to regain control of land they've mined. That's why they mine it.
The purpose of land mines is to mine land that you know you will be ceding control of, invariably whilst retreating. It is the ultimate "IF I CAN'T HAVE IT NO ONE CAN" psychotic matriarchal petulant maneuver. It's right up there with napalm and using Red Cross vehicles as cover. This is common sense stuff. No one clears land mines except by accident.
Do you have some military expertise or awareness of routine clearing of land mines after deploying them for a 'legitimate' tactical purpose?
