SEATTLE -- A photograph of a mysterious bearded man bearing the message "go away" suddenly appeared in the silverware drawer of a downtown Seattle resident's apartment last week, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to the police report for the incident, the victim, who moved into the apartment in the 100 block of Cherry Street six months ago, was away from home for seven hours last Tuesday.

Upon his return, the victim went to make some food, and that's when he found the mysterious photograph. According to the report, the photograph showed a bearded man the victim had never seen before and the words "go away" written on the back.

There were no signs of forced entry into the apartment, and the door was locked. Also, nothing was stolen from the apartment, including an iPad and computer left out in plain view.

According to the report, the victim had heard from other tenants that the person who used to live in his apartment was a troublemaker, and he believes either the former tenant or someone trying to threaten the former tenant is responsible for leaving the photo.

Solving at least one part of the mystery, officers looked up the previous tenant, whose mug shot matched the mystery photo.
