Tiger still being arguably the most famous athlete in the country despite not winning a major for 11 years is strange. He is probably the most famous athlete ever. It's hard to imagine anyone reaching that level of fame again. The social conscious is too fractured into niche interests thanks to social media and streaming services.

The tee time of the last group has been pushed up to 8:20am central thanks to the severe weather threat tomorrow afternoon. The wind is also very much going to be a factor.

This tee time thing is bullshit, this was set up for maybe the biggest finish ever - groups of three instead of two, over 6 hours earlier than normal. The real "tradition unlike any other" is to wake up around noon, start drinking, and then be just about right by the time the chaos on Amen Corner and the back nine goes full blast.
