Appeal after Queen Elizabeth Hospital attempted robbery as angle grinder used to try and steal bike

Police have issued a CCTV appeal after a bike robbery bid outside the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
An angle grinder was used to try to steal a bicycle outside the Selly Oak-based hospital.
The incident took place just before 7pm on Thursday evening, April 30.
West Midlands Police said a man in a "distinctive hooded coat" tried to remove the bike lock with an angle grinder.
He failed and left in a white van, the force added.
Officers have also released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
The appeal, issued on Friday, said there was 'an attempt to steal a bicycle from outside the main entrance of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital just before 7pm last night.
The appeal said: "A man, in a distinctive hooded coat, used an angle grinder to try and remove the bike lock but failed and left in a white van.
